The project was to design a two bedroom bungalow with special
attention at the design stage to ensure the bungalow was suitable to
be adapted for disabled use.

The design incorporated the standards outlined by “Lifetime Homes”
set out by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.  The scheme incorporated
off road parking, gardens to the front, rear and side, with ramped
approach to the dwelling.  There are two bedrooms off the reception
hall to the rear of the bungalow, with lounge/dining and kitchen to the
front.  Opposite the main entrance are the house bathroom and a utility
room.

Planning permission and Building Regulation approval were obtained in
August 2004 and the project was completed in Autumn 2005.

The brief from the client was to gain an extra bedroom with an en-suite,
new garage and a utility room.

The final scheme provided the above requirements with the addition of
a ground floor W.C and a replacement sun room instead of the existing
conservatory.  Natural light is now provided into the house bathroom
via a sun pipe from the roof.

Planning permission and Building Regulation approval was obtained in
early 2005, with completion anticipated in late 2005.
